CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho lacrosse team is pleased to announce its schedule for the 2026 season. The Yotes are set to challenge themselves against 6 teams that finished the 2025 season receiving votes in the final MCLA rankings; 4 of those teams finished in the top 12. The schedule is highlighted with Air Force who made it to the final four in the National Tournament last season. The Yotes also have big home matchups vs. Montana State, Denver and Montana.
"We will be an extremely young team this season. We have 30 freshman and sophomore's with only a few upperclassman. We will play fast, aggressive and have a lot of energy. We are very excited about this group." Said Coach
Drake O'Neill. Last year under Coach O'Neill in his second season, the Yotes went 9-5 including a top 10 Victory Vs. #9 Utah State.
The Yotes will look to build off of last year's strong season that culminated in a first round loss at the National Tournament with the start of the 2026 season at Central Washington on February 14th at 12:00pm. The rest of the conference is noticing the upward momentum as they Yotes received 3 first place votes in the PNCLL Coaches Poll. They were voted to finish second in the PNCLL. C of I finished only five points behind the University of Montana who was picked first.
The season will wrap up at the 2026 PNCLL Tournament, April 25th-26th in Seattle, WA with a spot at the MCLA national tournament in Richmond, Virginia, May 4th-9th on the line.
