Yotes Find Their Groove in 113-Point Showcase

CALDWELL, Idaho — College of Idaho turned in a wire-to-wire, well-rounded performance Friday night, rolling past Northern New Mexico 113–66 at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Yotes shot 56.9 percent from the field and had six players score in double figures, building a 29-point halftime lead and never letting up after the break. Alex Germer led all scorers with 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting, adding seven rebounds. Samaje Morgan added 16 points, four assists and two steals, while Rey Johnston chipped in 17 points, including three 3-pointers.

College of Idaho's depth proved overwhelming. The Yote bench produced 46 points, highlighted by Chance Winter's efficient 14-point, seven-rebound outing on 6-for-6 shooting. Conner Sheets added nine points, all from beyond the arc, and Reece Sasser-Gunson scored six in late minutes.

The Yotes dominated nearly every statistical category, out rebounding the Eagles 43–25 and turning 21 Northern New Mexico turnovers into 28 points. College of Idaho also piled up 56 points in the paint and held the Eagles without a fast-break point.

Northern New Mexico was led by Ja'Kwon Hill with 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Jesus Mendoza added 13 points and Harkirath Makhar scored 16, but the Eagles struggled to keep pace as the Yotes continued to run in transition and spread production across the rotation.

College of Idaho hit 12 threes and went 19-of-24 at the free-throw line on the way to its highest point total of the season.
