CORVALLIS, Ore. - The College of Idaho men's and women's cross country teams were named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Under Armour Teams of the Week for Sept. 29-Oct. 5, the conference announced Sunday. Both squads were the top non-Division I programs at the 50th annual Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
The Yote men placed fourth overall in the 8-kilometer race, posting a team time of 2 hours, 3 minutes, 8 seconds, more than two minutes faster than the 2023 group that went on to finish sixth at NAIA nationals. All five scoring runners broke the 25-minute mark, led by Collin De Julio, followed by Isaac Anttonen, Oclan Ryan, Ashton Drage and Cass Violett. The top-9 all crossed the line before the clock hit 25:16.
The women also impressed, finishing sixth overall in the 5-kilometer race with a team time of 1:31:17, faster than last year's squad that went on to place seventh at nationals. Rozzlyn Cazier once again led the Yotes, with Julia Gilbert, Paiten Braseth, Kylee Quinton and Ainsley Bowen rounding out the scoring five.
College of Idaho will close the regular season with meets in Idaho and Nebraska before returning to Salem for the Cascade Conference Championships next month.
