CORVALLIS, Ore. — College of Idaho junior Isaac Anttonen was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday, earning the conference's first weekly cross country honor of the 2026 season.
Anttonen, a Boise, Idaho, native, opened the season with an outstanding performance at the Linfield Harrier Classic, placing sixth out of 101 runners in the 6-kilometer race. He crossed the finish line in 18:17.4, finishing just behind several NCAA Division I competitors.
The performance helped Anttonen lead the way for the No. 7-ranked Yotes in their season opener and earned him the first CCC weekly cross country recognition of the season.
