CALDWELL, Idaho — The College of Idaho volleyball team cruised to a dominant 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-12) victory over Warner Pacific on Thursday night at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. With the win, the Yotes improve to 9-8 overall and 5-4 in Cascade Conference play.
Abby Draghici and Shelbey Nichol led the charge for the Yotes, with Draghici tallying five kills and Nichol contributing five kills and three blocks. Keylee Wilson added seven kills and two service aces, while Savannah Hutchins dished out 17 assists. Freshman Madeline Lee made her collegiate debut in the match, earning her first career assist while helping the Yotes to their commanding victory in the third set.
The Yotes' defense was impenetrable throughout the match, holding Warner Pacific (0-11, 0-9 CCC) to a negative hitting percentage of -.024. Warner Pacific's Autumn Gaboury-Parker was a bright spot for the visitors, leading her team with six kills and one block.
College of Idaho set the tone early, jumping out to a commanding lead in each set and never looking back. The Yotes recorded a team hitting percentage of .283 and amassed 10 service aces as they overwhelmed their opponent in every phase of the game.
The Yotes will look to carry this momentum into their next match as they continue their home stretch.
