Box Score Vancouver, B.C. - An eight-run fourth inning led host University of British Columbia to an 11-5 win over College of Idaho on Friday night.
College of Idaho (9-14) was limited to just four hits by three Thunderbird pitchers.

Jace Mahlke,
Alex McFarland-Smith and
Austin Moon each had a hit. McFarland-Smith had a two-RBI double in the eighth.
University of British Columbia (11-8) had four players with two hits – Russell Young, Aaron Marsh, Trent Lenihan, Mitchell Middlemiss. Lenihan and Young each had three RBI in the win. The Thunderbirds managed to hit four home runs in the win. Three of the four home runs came in the big fourth inning.
UBC starter Sean Heppner threw 100 pitches over 6.1 innings, where he allowed just one hit and struck out 16 in the win.
The two teams will resume the series on Saturday with a 2 p.m. (MT) doubleheader.
