No. 22 College of Idaho softball extended its winning streak to 10 games with a pair of five-inning wins against Corban on Saturday. The Yotes took game one, 10-0 and the nightcap, 11-1.

College of Idaho (17-7, 8-0 CCC) picked up 11 and nine hits, respectively and Yotes pitchers allowed just one and four hits, respectively in the doubleheader sweep.

Game one saw Yotes starter
Annie Polster allow just one hit in the five-inning shutout. Seven-different Yotes had a hit with
Hattie Hruza leading the 11-hit attack with three hits, two runs scored and two RBI in the win.
College of Idaho plated two in the first, one each in the second and third to go along with a six-run fourth for the win. Hruza got the first hit of the day for the home team in the first inning and would later score on a RBI single by
Lolo Walker. Later in the inning, a RBI single by
Ashlynn Nixon stretched the lead to 2-0. The third inning saw a two out RBI double by Hruza plate
Kaylee MacDannald to make it a 3-0 contest and in the fourth, a RBI single by Nixon stretched the margin to 4-0.

In the fourth, College of Idaho sent 10 batters to the plate as they scored six runs on four hits. Plus, in the inning, the host Yotes took advantage of a pair of errors by the Warriors.

The only hit Polster gave up was an infield single in the third to Samantha Martinez.
The nightcap saw College of Idaho continue to swing the hot bat as
Chloe Flerchinger had three hits and
Lolo Walker added a pair. Flerchinger and Walker each hit a home run in the win. Yotes starting pitcher
Ambrie Jones went the distance, allowing just four hits and striking out a career-best seven.

College of Idaho plated two in the first and scored nine runs on five hits in the second inning. Walker hit a solo home run in the first and picked up two more RBI on a double in the second. Flerchinger hit her solo shot in the second and had a RBI double in the first.

Next, the Yotes will put their winning streak on the line when they travel to the University of British Columbia for a four-game series. The Thunderbirds and College of Idaho will face each other in a pair of doubleheaders on Friday, Mar. 22 at 3 p.m. and Saturday, Mar. 23 at noon.
