Medford, Ore. – November 12, 2024 – The College of Idaho Yotes claimed an emphatic 3-0 win over Rocky Mountain in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Semifinal, propelled by a stunning 45-second double strike from star forward Alexis Eiguren and a clinical set-piece finish by Isabel DeVille. The Yotes will now advance to the CCC Championship, set to take on the winner of Eastern Oregon and Oregon Tech on November 14th at noon MST.
The Yotes established dominance early in the first half, with Eiguren breaking through in the 27th minute. Following a deflected free kick by Kyndra Lyons, Eiguren capitalized on the rebound to put the Yotes on the board. Moments later, she doubled the lead with an unassisted goal off an errant clearance, showcasing her precision and quick reaction skills.
Just before halftime, the Yotes struck again. A well-placed corner by Alondra Osuna found DeVille, who expertly redirected the ball with a glancing header to the top corner, leaving Rocky Mountain's keeper helpless.
With their sights now set on the championship, the undefeated Yotes (16-0-2) look poised for a strong finish to their record-breaking season.
