CALDWELL, Idaho – College of Idaho women's soccer began their senior weekend with a 2-0 shutout victory over Warner Pacific on Friday afternoon at Simplot Stadium. The Yotes, anchored by freshman goalkeeper Alivia Brenchley, dominated play, outshooting the Knights 33-4. Brenchley notched her 6th shutout of the season, making two saves on Warner Pacific's limited chances.
How It Happened
The Yotes (13-0-2, 11-0-0 CCC) controlled the game from the start, taking 13 shots in the first half alone. They broke through in the 24th minute with an unassisted goal by Gianna Yslava, her fourth of the season. Warner Pacific's goalkeeper, Kate Pomerinke, was tested throughout the match and recorded 16 saves on 18 shots on goal.
In the second half, College of Idaho continued to press, adding 20 more shots. In the final minute, Abbi Roubidoux found the back of the net unassisted, scoring her sixth goal of the season and securing the 2-0 victory for the Yotes.
