KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Daniel Butler of College of Idaho has been named the NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season. He was selected based on his performances from September 30 – October 6 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Butler, a graduate student from Buhl, Idaho, finished ahead of 278 runners to claim first place in the fiercely competitive 49th Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational on Saturday. He completed the 8k with a personal-best time of 23:47.4, helping lead the Yotes to a team title as well by a 15 point margin out of 25 teams across all divisions.
Next up, the Yotes are set to compete at the George Oja Invitational on Saturday, October 19th.
