SALEM, Ore. – The College of Idaho Yotes delivered a commanding performance against Corban University, winning 6-0 in their latest soccer match. The Yotes showcased their offensive prowess, outshooting Corban with a remarkable 30 shots compared to Corban's 6.
The first half set the tone, with the Yotes scoring three goals.
Larissa Wegner opened the scoring in the 13th minute, assisted by
Gianna Yslava. Alli Moultray added two more goals before halftime, first in the 32nd minute and completed her brace in the 45th minute, with an assist from
Alexis Eiguren.
In the second half, the Yotes continued their relentless attack, scoring three more goals.
Natasja Davis found the net in the 79th minute, assisted once again by Yslava. A team own goal in the 82nd minute and a final goal by
Eden Makaafi in the 88th minute capped off a dominant display.
The Yotes' goalkeeper,
Alivia Brenchley, made two saves, while Corban's Ava Hayes had a busy match, recording 11 saves.
With this victory, the Yotes improved their record to 12-0-2 overall and 10-0-0 in conference play. They will return home on November 1 to host Warner Pacific at Simplot Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1 PM MT.
