CALDWELL, Idaho - The 17th-ranked College of Idaho women's soccer program continued their winning ways on Sunday, taking down Rocky Mountain College by a score of 3-0.
The Yotes offense was once again relentless on the attack, firing off 19 shots with 11 of them finding the target. The offense would strike early, as
Eden Makaafi took the ball off a pass from
Gianna Yslava to make it 1-0. Yslava would get the ball coming off a save from RMC keeper Amber Wilkinson, taking possession of the ball on the endline and finding Makaafi for the goal.
Just three and a half minutes into the second half, the Yotes leading scorer in
Natasja Davis would record her seventh of the year coming off a cross from
Alondra Osuna, making it 2-0 Yotes. With just over 90 seconds left, a shot from McKenna Harris that was saved would fall right to
Larissa Wegner, as she would head the ball into the net for her fourth of the season, giving the Yotes the 3-0 victory.
The win marks the third clean sheet in the last four games as the Yotes registered their sixth consecutive win.
The Yotes will return to Simplot Stadium on Friday, hosting Southern Oregon at 6:30 p.m.
