CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho used an entire team effort led to another Yote sweep to cap off the weekend.
College of Idaho (9-8, 7-2 CCC) spread the wealth with 13-different players with a kill and a .279 hitting percentage as they defeated Walla Walla (0-10, 0-9 CCC), 25-13, 25-12, 25-22.
The balanced offensive attack saw Yotes setters
Analise Hitchcock provide 24 assists,
Savannah Hutchins chipped in 12 and
Chanlar O'Neil added six in the win.
Liza Montalbo and
Clair Hodge had 14 and 10 digs, respectively.
For the second-straight night, it was the frontline that posed a problem for the opposition with six blocks with four from
Jerzie Pluid and three from
Alexa Wheeler.
College of Idaho led for nearly the entire match as it was not until the third set that saw the score tied on five occasions and had three lead changes.
Walla Walla managed to hit .038 in the loss, Femke Eising had a team-high six kills and a .333 hitting percentage. The Wolves picked up five blocks with Eising having three blocks in the loss.
Next, College of Idaho will wrap up its first half of the rigorous Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule with a matchup at Bushnell on Friday and at No. 4 Corban on Saturday.
