CALDWELL, Idaho -
Haley McUne recorded a double double - 14 kills and 16 digs - to lead an all-around team effort by the College of Idaho volleyball team on its way to a 25-18, 25-14, 25-20 win over LC State on Friday night.

McUne hit .462 to lead College of Idaho, who hit .255 in the win.
Shelbey Nichol added 10 kills and setters Analise HItchcock and
Savannah Hutchins had 20 and 13 assists, respectively. The Yotes front line came up with 10 blocks, including eight block assists from
Jade Warren. The win raises the record for College of to an 8-8 mark with a 6-2 mark in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. LC State falls to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in the CCC.

The match started with the two teams going back and forth until a
Jerzie Pluid kill and a block by the tandem of
Shelbey Nichol and
Alexa Wheeler put the host Yotes ahead 9-7 in the first set. Five times the visitors managed to get within a point, including at 16-15 but this time it was a 10-3 run to end the first set put the Yotes ahead a set to start the match.

The second set saw C of I break a tie at four with six unanswered points that included a pair of kills by
Janae Rayborn. The Warriors would only get as close as four as College of Idaho went up by as much as 11 en route to the 25-14 win in the second set for a two set lead in the contest.

The third set saw College of Idaho race out to a 7-1 lead on the Warriors. LC State came back to get within two at 21-19 before a service error by the visitors and a kill by
Alexa Wheeler stretched the Yotes lead to 23-19. Then, Nichol closed out the match with back-to-back kills for the 25-20 win in the third and deciding set.
Next, College of Idaho will host Walla Walla on Saturday at 9 p.m. at the J.A. Albertson Activity Center.
