The College of Idaho will cap their spring football drills this Saturday afternoon, hosting the Purple and Gold Game at Simplot Stadium.

The intrasquad game, set to begin at 1 p.m., will pit the Yotes offense against the Yotes defense in a scripted three quarter contest – with special teams segments and other game situations as well as kicking activities during the quarter breaks.

Admission to the Spring Game is free. Prior to the game and until 2 p.m., there is an equipment surplus sale. Purchases can be made with credit card only. Also prior to the game, there will be a Youth Football Camp from 10 a.m. to noon and registration materials can be found online at

Key items for the Purple and Gold Game
- Tailgating will be permitted at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center lot, however, it is first-come, first serve and no assigned spots will be available (Fall Tailgate Rules will be Strictly Enforced)
- Concessions will not be available at Simplot Stadium, however (unlike the regular-season) fans will be allowed to bring food and drink into the game (glass containers, alcoholic beverages, or umbrellas will not be permitted) – with all bags/coolers subject to search
- Reserved Seating (seat backs) will not be available, all seating is first-come, first-serve
- Fans are asked to remain in the seating area of Simplot Stadium for the duration of the Spring Game.
