Schedule Change: Due to weather in the Portland area, the weekend series was moved to a Saturday/Sunday series. The series will get underway with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon (MT) at Rex Putnam High School.
No. 12 in the Poll: The second edition of the 2023 NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released Wednesday by the national office. The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw the same four teams ranked, two in the top five. Oregon Tech captured 12 first-place votes and jumped three spots to take over the top spot. Southern Oregon University followed, moving up four spots to be ranked No. 5. College of Idaho remained at No. 12 while Eastern Oregon University fell four to hold onto the last ranked spot in the No. 25 position.

Pass the Broom: College of Idaho has pulled off series sweeps in three of its first four to start Cascade Collegiate Conference play.
Fast Starts: Through the first three innings, College of Idaho is outscoring its opponents, 88-20 with a 16-3 advantage in the second inning and a 40-4 advantage in the third with 32 of its 189 runs coming in the first inning. The Yotes are 13-0 when they score in the first inning and 19-0 when they score first.
Holding the Lead: On its way to a 24-2 mark, College of Idaho is 19-0 after leading after four innings, 11-0 after five and 11-0 after six.
Loffer Leadoff: Leadoff hitter
Haley Loffer leads the CCC with a .955 slugging percentage, eight home runs and 39 runs scored. She is second in on-base percentage (.567), stolen bases (16) and total bases (64), third in triples (3) and fourth in doubles (8).
WOW from Wilfert: Pitcher
Katelyn Wilfert has been named the CCC/Rize Laboratory Pitcher of the Week twice on the season. Wilfert leads the CCC with a 0.73 ERA in 77 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .192 against her with 56 strikeouts on her way to a 11-1 mark.
How do you do it, Hannah? Hannah McNerney has posted a 11-1 record in 72 innings of work in 12 appearances. McNerney has held batters to a .226 batting average and just nine extra-base hits. She recorded a career-best nine strikeouts against Corban on March 17.
MacAttack MacDannald: Kaylee MacDannald shares the team lead with
Hattie Hruza with 30 hits; shares the team lead with
Haley Loffer with eight doubles; second on the team with a .423 batting average and a .488 on-base percentage. She is third on the team with 48 total bases and a .676 slugging percentage and 20 RBIs which is fourth
Potent Hattie: Hattie Hruza has 14 extra-base hits on her way to a share of the team lead with 30 hits for the Yotes. Among her 14 extra-base hits are six doubles, five triples and three home runs. She also has made 29 putouts from her center field position, including many eye-popping catches.
Hot Bats from the Corner: Third baseman
Kaily Christensen is sixth on the team with a .338 batting average and a .386 on-base percentage. First baseman
Tanner Higgins enters the weekend with a .355 batting average with 22 runs scored to go along with 27 hits - two doubes, two triples and five home runs on her way to a .632 slugging percentage.
Makenna Makin It Happen: Makenna Luke had a pair of RBI singles in the win over Northwest (Mar. 10) for her third multi-RBI game of the season. Luke is hitting .324 on the season with 11 hits with eight RBI.
Double Trouble: Brinley Iverson became the fourth different Yote to have two doubles in the win over Northwest on March 11 as the Yotes hit six doubles against the Eagles. The six are the most since a seven-double effort against Arizona Christian on January 30, 2021.
