Annie Polster came in relief in the sixth inning for her first outing of the year, pitching the final two innings and striking out one as the Yotes ended the game on top, 9-1.
Game 2
Game two was all about the Yotes offense against 21st-ranked Jessup.
Tanner Higgins got the game started with a single up the middle which scored Loffer. The bulk of the Yotes offense came in the third inning, exploding for eight runs in the top half of the inning. Higgins tripled in the third, earning three RBI's, before scoring herself on an error by the left fielder for her fifth RBI of the contest.
Kaily Christensen followed that up by singling and driving in Hruza.
Makenna Luke joined the RBI action by doubling to right center field, scoring Navarrete and Christensen. The final RBI of the third inning came on a
Haley Loffer double down the left field which Luke scored on. Loffer tacked on her second RBI in the fifth inning, scoring
Lysette Villegas.
Katelyn Wilfert was dominant on the mound once again, firing a one-hitter. She held the Warrior offense scoreless for the first time this season. Striking out four in the process, the outing continues a string of impressive outings for the grad student on the season, as she fired a no-hitter earlier in the season.
The Yotes will begin conference play against Carroll in Helena later this month.
