Double Double by Jake O'Neil Leads College of Idaho to 90-83 Win Over Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. – Jake O'Neil, who reached the 1,000-point mark on Friday against Multnomah, scored a team-high 20, Johnny Radford poured in 16, Samaje Morgan and Drew Wyman each added 13 to lead No. 5 College of Idaho to a 90-83 win over host Warner Pacific on Saturday. The 16 points put him over 1,000 for his career.

Matt Solomon poured in 33 points for Warner Pacific, who dropped its ninth-straight game. The Knights knocked down 16 3-pointers, including six by Solomon in the loss.

Morgan scored the first seven points of the game as College of Idaho jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The lead remained double digits for the next seven minutes and eventually Warner Pacific cut the deficit to three, 86-83, when Solomon hit his sixth 3-pointer of the game with :35 left to play.

Wyman sealed the win, making all four of his free throws in the closing seconds.

O'Neil also grabbed 12 rebounds for his fourth double double of the season to lead College of Idaho. For the fifth time on the season, Morgan led the Yotes in assists with five.

The victory raises the record for College of Idaho to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, whereas Warner Pacific falls to 2-9 overall and 1-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Next, College of Idaho will have a rematch against Eastern Oregon on Saturday, Dec. 30 in LaGrande at 5 p.m. (PST)/6 p.m. (MT).
