Box Score HELENA, Mont. - The College of Idaho men's soccer team was handed their first loss in CCC play, falling to Carroll by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
The offense got started early for the Saints as Enrico Paparelli scored unassisted just five minutes in as Carroll jumped out to a quick one goal lead. That lead would last for just 10 minutes as
Dani Alejos took the ball from
Jorge Fernandez and buried it into the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
In the 28th minute, Carroll's Caleb Hoxie took the ball from Matt Wigton and put it past the Yotes keeper as the Saints would retake the lead to end the first half, which would eventually hold to be the final.
The Saints defense would hold the Yotes to just eight shots in the contest, with the lone shot on goal being the goal from Alejos. The Yotes would end the game with the advantage in corners, ending with a total of six compared to Carroll's one.
The Yotes will return home next weekend to start the final three home games of the season, hosting Eastern Oregon on Friday.
