A TERROR FROM TARYN: Sophomore guard
Taryn Riley has scored in double figures in the five of her last six games, including a career-high 25 against Walla Walla on December 30. She is averaging 14 points per game in her last six games with 10 field goals against Walla Walla and eight more against Corban.
DOWNTOWN MIA: Freshman
Mia Austin has made a 3-pointer in 16 of her 20 games of her young career. Austin had a stretch of consecutive games with a 3-pointer end at 11 as she failed to make a 3-pointer last time out against Corban. For the season, Austin has made 39.4% (28 of 71) of her 3-point attempts which ranks as the ninth best in a single season in program history (based on minimum 25 made).
BRING IT ON BRYANNA: Freshman
Bryanna Graham had one of the best games of her career against Bushnell on January 13. The La Verne, California native scored a career-high 12 points on a career-best four 3-pointers.
ONE-TWO PUNCH: The tandem of
Lexi Mitchell and
Sienna Riggle have been key contributors to the success of the Yotes women's basketball program. Heading into this week's action, Mitchell has recorded 12 career double double performances; most recently against Warner Pacific (12/17/22) and Riggle has posted 12 with her last double double coming at Bushnell (1/13/23).
GETTING TO THE FOUL LINE: College of Idaho has shot 305 free-throw attempts compared to just 228 for its opponents. The 305 free throw attempts is second (first: Oregon Tech - 319) in the CCC. The Yotes went to the line for a league-high and season-high 38 attempts against Willamette. The 38 attempts are the most since a 43 attempt effort against Warner Pacific on Feb. 9, 2019.
