EUGENE, Ore. - The College of Idaho women's soccer program posted their third consecutive clean sheet in an impressive win, defeating Bushnell by a score of 7-0.
Gianna Yslava got the scoring started, netting a goal in the 13th minute as the Yotes jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead over the Beacons. Just a minute later, Yslava would strike again, this time off an assist by
Lily Schlake to take a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.
Delaney Reed opened the scoring in the second half, scoring in the 59th minute of action off an assist by McKenzie Lembcke to take a 3-0 lead. Reed would score her second of the contest in the 63rd minute after dribbling by two defenders to take a four goal lead.
Larissa Wegner tallied her lone goal of the contest in the 79th minute off an assist by
Payton Mongelli.
Lucy Moore scored her second goal of the season just 64 seconds later as the Yotes took a 6-0 lead.
Kaitlyn Ramon rounded out the Yotes scoring off an assist by
Kaeden Hansen in the 83rd minute as the Yotes were able to take down Bushnell.
"Today was a tremendous team effort," said head coach
Brian Smith. "The girls were inspired to put together a complete performance, and I couldn't be more proud. Our starters established an amazing tempo and our game changers elevated it. We will enjoy this one and then begin preparations for a very talented Corban side tomorrow."
The Yotes travel to Salem, Ore. tomorrow to take on Corban with a game time starting at 1:30 p.m.
