La Grande, Ore. – The leaders in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and No. 7 ranked Eastern Oregon University volleyball team defeated College of Idaho, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 25-12 on Tuesday evening.
The 'Yotes (2-10, 1-4 CCC) were paced by a double double effort from
Janae Rayborn, who had 12 kills and 12 digs on the evening. Analise Hitchock provided 35 assists and and three kills from her setter position, plus
Gabriella Rios posted a team-high 17 digs.
The Mountaineers (12-1, 5-0 CCC) were led by Preslee Jensen and Sade Williams, who had 16 and 13 kills, respectively. Jensen posted a .220 hitting percentage and Williams recorded a .379 hitting percentage as EOU out hit C of I by a .228 to .083 margin in the win. Alexis McMurtry had a double double with 24 assists and 17 digs to go along with three service aces. Hailey Arritola had a match-high 22 digs and the EOU frontline posted 11 blocks for the win.
Next, College of Idaho returns home for a four-match homestand starting with a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday against Multnomah.
