CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho volleyball team returned home to the friendly confines of the J.A. Albertson Activity Center after spending nearly the last month away from home with a matchup against Multnomah on Friday night.
The 'Yotes (3-10, 2-4 CCC) fed off the energy of the home crowd to pull off its second straight-set win of the season with a 25-12, 25-21, 25-20 win over the visitors from Salem, Oregon. In the win, College of Idaho posted a .294 hitting percentage as
Janae Rayborn recorded her second-straight double double with 14 kills and 14 digs. Plus,
Isabelle Combs added 12 kills,
Analise Hitchcock provided strong play at the setter position with 37 assists and libero
Clair Hodge added 18 digs.
The match saw the debut of freshman
Chanlar O'Neil, who had four kills in her first action at C of I.
The Lions (1-5, 1-5 CCC) managed to hit .074 and Danae Stokes had 10 kills to pace Multnomah. Ashley Alfred and Alyssa Aubrey each put a hand on three blocks and Lauren Porter provided 20 digs in the loss.
Next, College of Idaho will host Warner Pacific on Saturday at 5 p.m.
