PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The College of Idaho women's soccer match dropped their first game of the season, losing on the road to Embry-Riddle by a score of 2-0.
Kylee Bennett got the scoring started for the Eagles, netting a goal in just the fifth minute of action. The Yotes would have a great opportunity to respond, as
Lily Schlake drew a penalty kick in the 16th minute, but missed the goal. The first half would end up a 1-0 game, as each team tallied seven shots in the first half, with the Eagles having four saves, and
Hannah McFadden recording two. The score would remain 1-0 for much of the second half until Adelie Zechmann tallied a goal for the Eagles in the 85th minute, propelling ERAU to earn the 2-0 victory. The Yotes record now stands at 4-1 on the season.
Next up for the Yotes is the conference opener, as well as the season home opener, against Warner Pacific on September 16 in Caldwell.
