Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's soccer program was back on the pitch Sunday, drawing with Puget Sound, 1-1, in a physical matchup.
The first half of action was scoreless, as the Yotes would tally eight shots with three of them on net, one of them nearly finding the back of the net as
Joao Bastos delivered a strike from outside the box that hit the left post. Puget Sound would not have a shot on goal, but would record a shot in the first half. In the second half,
Hugo dos Santos got the scoring started in the 70th minute of action, scoring off a cross by
Caio Pereira. After a yellow card from Yotes goalie
Tom Baynard-Smith, Puget Sound's Graham Hall was able to put in the penalty kick with three seconds left that gave the game a tie.
Up next for the Yotes is the conference opener against Warner Pacific on September 16th in Caldwell.
