Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho - The College of Idaho baseball team dropped game one of the CCC Baseball Championships, losing to the Univ. of British Columbia, 10-3.
A five-run first inning was enough for the Thunderbirds to take the victory in the opening round. Trent Lenihan led the way for the 'Birds with a 2 RBI homer in the top of the first inning. Lenihan ended the game with five RBI's.
For the Yotes, the offense was led by
Dillon Danner,
Jonah Hultberg, and
Kirby Robertson, each having an RBI in the loss. Both Danner and Robertson drove in runs on sacrifice flies, while Hultberg homered to right center field in the seventh inning.
Next up, the Yotes will play the loser of Corban vs. Lewis-Clark State in an elimination game tomorrow in Lewiston.
