MISSOULA, Mont. – After an undefeated regular season and reaching the top of the MCLA (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association) Division II poll, the College of Idaho was well recognized in the PNCLL (Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League) postseason awards, announced on Tuesday.
Senior
Joey Brant (Redmond, Ore.) was named the league's Most Valuable Player and senior
Casey Davies (Boise, Idaho) was selected as the league's Offensive Player of the Year.
Brant and Davies were joined on the league's first team by
Loy Howard (Attack, Boise, Idaho)
Daniel Skelton (Long-Stick Midfielder, Boise, Idaho) and
Van Goyen (Defense, Meridian, Idaho).
Three Yotes were named as second team picks –
Seth Hale (Midfield, Caldwell, Idaho),
Logan Wahl (Defender, Middleton, Idaho) and
Cade Brown (Goalkeeper, Boise, Idaho). Plus,
Brad Hale (Attack, Caldwell, Idaho),
Parker Archuleta (Midfield, Boise, Idaho) and Brant (Short-stick defensive midfielder) were all chosen as honorable mention.
Next, the Yotes will travel to Round Rock, Texas for the MCLA Division II Tournament. College of Idaho, who will enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed, will face Charlotte on Monday, May 9 at 4:15 p.m. (CST) at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
