WILSONVILLE, Ore. - The potent offense of the No. 2 College of Idaho softball team was on display in a doubleheader sweep of Corban University on Sunday. C of I outscored Corban, 26 to 7 and out hit the Warriors, 20 to 11 as they posted wins of 11-3 and 15-4 in the series finale.

The two wins extends the C of I winning streak to 17 games and raises the 2022 record to 18-2 overall and 6-0 in CCC play as the Warriors fall to 8-11, 3-3 CCC.

In game one, six different players for C of I had a hit in the win. One of the six was
Kaylee MacDannald, who went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBI. She hit a grand slam in the fourth inning that put the Coyotes ahead 10-3.
Haley Loffer scored three runs to go along with two walks and a stolen base from her lead-off position.
Hattie Hruza also scored twice and
Lindsey Jones had a two-RBI in the fifth inning.

For C of I, starting pitcher
Annie Polster raised her record to 4-0, allowing five hits, three runs (two earned) and struck out one in the win.
In game two, C of I was down 4-3 before they rallied back to score six in the sixth and five more in the seventh en route to a 15-4 win.

Kaily Christensen and
Tanner Higgins paced the attack with three hits each as the Coyotes pounded out 12 hits. Loffer scored three more runs and Higgins and MacDannald each scored twice in the win.
Kylie Smith led C of I with three RBI as five Coyotes had multiple RBI.

In relief,
Katelyn Wilfert pitched the final 3.2 innings where she allowed just two hits to raise her record to 6-1.

Next, C of I will return to Symms Field for a weekend series against Northwest University. The action gets underway with a doubleheader on Friday, March 10 at 1 p.m. Â
