The Yotes (20-2, 8-0 CCC) extended their school-record win streak to 19-games with the 17-5 and 5-1 victories. C of I surpassed the 2019 team for best start – as the NAIA Opening Round runner up team began the year 16-2.
C of I used big innings to grab a 5-inning win in the opener – taking a 4-1 lead with a 4-run third, as Loffer and
Kylie Smith ripped RBI singles and
Kaily Christensen added a 2-run double. Loffer made it 7-1 in the fourth, blasting a 3-run homer, with the Yotes batting around for 10 runs in the fourth – as

Tanner Higgins added a 3-run shot.
Hannah McNerney logged her team-best seventh win, working around five hits and five walks. Higgins, Hruza and Christensen added two hits, part of a 15-hit attack.
In Game 2,
