CALDWELL, Idaho - A .348 hitting percentage and a match-high 14 kills by Shay Coons led visiting Bushnell to a 25-14, 25-17, 25-15 win over host College of Idaho on Saturday night.
The Yotes (5-15, 4-9 CCC) were paced by a nine-kill effort from
Isabelle Combs to go along with a seven-kill match for
Chayla Slavin. For College of Idaho,
Ali Carpenter picked up 16 digs in the loss.
The Beacons (13-8, 8-5 CCC) were able to hit at a .267 or better clip in all three sets with Coons leading the attack. Her efforts were joined by a nine-kill effort from Payton Jones and eight more from Jessica Northcutt. Makenna Northern had 37 assists and Callie Wilkins had two service aces and 17 digs in the win.
Comimg up on Tuesday, College of Idaho will host No. 1 Eastern Oregon at 7 p.m. at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
