Chayla Slavin led the College of Idaho volleyball team with a team-high 13 kills and a .765 hitting percentage in a 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 loss to host Southern Oregon on Friday night.
The Yotes (9-17 overall, 8-11 CCC) were out hit by the host Raiders in the match by a .286 to .095 margin in the loss. Southern Oregon (18-8 overall, 12-7 CCC) were able to utilize a balanced attack that saw five players with at least four kills in the win.
Yotes setter Analise Hitchcock had a match-high 24 assists to go along with a team-high seven digs in the loss. The Raiders and the Yotes each had three service aces. The difference in the match was a SOU frontline that recorded 8.5 blocks with seven block assists by Sadie Byrd in the win.
College of Idaho will take on Oregon Tech in the road finale for the season on Saturday at 6 p.m. (MT)/5 p.m. (PST).
