Analise Hitchcock had a season-high 50 assists, three kills and two block assists to spark the home team to a 25-20, 22-25, 25-14, 25-16 win over Walla Walla University on Saturday night. More details to come.
College of Idaho (7-16, 6-10 CCC) won for the second-straight night for just the second time on the season got an all-around effort from the entire roster in the win.
Ali Carpenter added 18 digs and four assists;
Callie Muniz had seven kills;
Emily Vandenberg added three kills, three digs and two service aces;
Katie Black had nine kills and six digs and Slavin also had seven blocks – just two shy of her season-high - in the win.
Walla Walla (0-16, 0-16 CCC) were paced by a 14-kill and three service ace match from Sahara Browning. Teammate Gabrielle Browning had a double double with 12 kills and 13 digs. Anja Cole and Meherio Krainer had 18 and 12 assists, respectively.
The 60 kills and a .349 hitting percentage were a season-high for College of Idaho to go along with the 56 assists. Plus, in the win, College of Idaho served up six service aces for the second-straight night.
Next, College of Idaho will take its two-match winning streak to the road for its next four matches. First, the Yotes will face Warner Pacific on Friday, October 21 in Portland.
