Yotes Volleyball Win in Four Over Lewis-Clark State

Caldwell, Idaho – The College of Idaho had a side-out percentage over 60% in three sets, recorded a season-high 55 kills and posted a .213 hitting percentage en route to a 27-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23 win over a Lewis-Clark State team that is receiving votes in the NAIA national poll on Friday night.

College of Idaho (6-16, 5-10 CCC) landed four players with double-digit kills, including 15 kills from Janae Rayborn, who also had 10 digs for a double double. Also with a double double effort was Analise Hitchcock, who had 42 assists and 14 digs to go along with two block assists and three kills.  

Teammate Chayla Slavin led a College of Idaho frontline with five block assists to go along with 11 kills. Callie Muniz and Isabelle Combs each had 10 kills. Ali Carpenter led the 'Yotes with 16 digs and Katie Black added 10.
 

"I am so proud of this team and how hard they have worked through the season," said head coach Liz Mendiola. "We have had adversity hit us left and right, but every single player shows up each day and finds ways to make our team better whether they are on the court or not." 


Lewis-Clark State (13-7, 9-6 CCC) was led by a 13-kill, four-block effort from Jada Wyms. Grecia Ung Enriguez added 10 kills to the Warriors attack that hit at a .192 clip in the loss. Ashlee Bachman served up a match-high three service aces. Esther Kailipoini and Vanja Tomic had 21 and 17 assists, respectively. Kendzee Cloweard and Kenzie Dean had 21 and 12 digs, respectively.  

Next, College of Idaho will host Walla Walla on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
