Box Score LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Yotes men's soccer team took down Eastern Oregon on the road, winning by a score of 4-0.
Eric Hornung got the scoring started, netting a goal in the 15th minute to spark the Yotes offense in the first half.
Jorge Fernandez followed that up with a goal of his own as the team took a 2-0 lead just 25 minutes into the contest. Just 45 seconds before the first half intermission,
Ben Garrick scored the third goal of the half as the Yotes took a 3-0 lead heading into the break. In the 58th minute,
Joao Bastos added his name to the scoring sheet as the team took a 4-0 lead which would eventually hold to be the final.
Tom Baynard-Smith earned the clean sheet in Saturday's contest, tallying three saves.
"The boys have been working hard since camp and today it all came together," said head coach
Thom Baker. "We played well on both sides of the ball. Four quality finishes from four different players. Great team win."
The Yotes head back to Caldwell for a game with Rocky Mountain next Friday at Simplot Stadium.
