DALLAS, Texas - College of Idaho defender,
Kaya Evans, was named today to the CoSIDA NAIA Academic All-District® 4 Women's Soccer Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Evans, a recent graduate of the College, was a 4-year member of the women's soccer program. She was a two-time All-Cascade Conference selection, earning East Division Player of the Year honors as a senior, becoming just the fifth player in Coyote history to earn All-America honors.
The political economy major from Pocatello, was one of 15 student-athletes named to the team - comprising athletes from the Cascade, California Pacific, Golden State Athletic, Frontier and Sooner Athletic Conferences. Athletes had to be a starter or key contributor to their team, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a minimum 3.30 grade point average to be considered for the team.
Evans, who also earned the award in 2018, is one of nine C of I players in program history to be selected to the All-District team – joining Kelly Hardegree-Ullman (2010, 2011), Sydney Woods (2014, 2015) and Camas Curran (2015, 2016) as the only 2-time selections by a Coyote.
