CHENEY, Wash. – Facing off against an opponent that has won two Big Sky Conference Tournament titles in the past four seasons, The College of Idaho fell 5-0 to Eastern Washington on Sunday afternoon.
Playing on the red turf of Roos Field, home of the football program at Eastern, the Eagles (1-2) would find success on the attack early, picking up a pair of goals in the first 12 minutes.
Brittany Deldridge (3rd minute), Grace Terrill (12th minute), Riley Walkington (38th minute), McKaley Goffard (48th minute) and Brooke Flores (75th minute) scored the goals in the win for EWU.
For the match, the Eagles attempted 24 shots, including 14 on goal.
Shae Waters was busy in the net for the Yotes, bringing in nine saves (1-2-1) for the contest.
C of I will start Cascade Conference play on Mar. 7-8 at home against Providence.
