Lexi Mitchell was honored as the WVT Laboratory Cascade Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
This is the second time that the junior from Middleton has earned the recognition in her career, having also been named the CCC Player of the Week after her performance over the opening week last season.
Mitchell started the new campaign strong with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists on Friday against Pacific Union before posting a double-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals on Saturday at Simpson.
Mitchell went 12-for-20 (60 percent) from the floor while putting up averages of 14 points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals per game.
The Yotes head to Pocatello on Friday to play Idaho State in an exhibition game.
