ABOUT EVERGREEN: The Geoducks are still mathematically in the mix for a spot in the CCC Championships, though they have a gauntlet on their hands in the final week going against the Yotes and Eastern Oregon. Three players have combined to score 12 of the 15 goals this season for the team, led by Madison Spenker (5 goals, 2 assists). Brieanna Dell (4 goals) and Sunny Bieber (3 goals, 1 assist) are other primary options on the attack. The keeper is Lucky Backus (2.86 GAA). She has faced a flurry of shots this year, making 116 saves on 213 shots faced. The game will be played at Black Hills High School located at 7741 Littlerock Rd SW in Olympia.

ABOUT NORTHWEST: The Eagles currently reside in sixth in the CCC standings with the ability to see their seeding into the tournament changed dramatically over the final week of regular season play. Claire Jo Diede (6 goals, 5 assists) and Callie Wright (6 goals, 4 assists are the players to watch for Northwest. Kierstin Patefield (1.08 GAA) serves as the primary keeper and has 54 saves on the season. C of I has won each of the last two meetings with the Eagles, including a 2-0 victory in a non-conference clash this past spring.

SEVEN TEAMS HAVE CLINCHED: For the seventh straight season (no tournament was held this past season) C of I has clinched a spot in the Cascade Conference Championships set for Nov. 9-12 in Springfield, Ore. Seeding for the tournament will be finalized this week as teams conclude regular season play. Seven teams have already secured spots, including Oregon Tech, College of Idaho, Southern Oregon, Corban, Eastern Oregon, Northwest and Rocky Mountain. Carroll, Evergreen and Warner Pacific are all vying for the final spot into the tournament.

WEGNER SCORES FOR THIRD STRAIGHT GAME: Freshman Larissa Wegner continued to impress last weekend, scoring a 44th minute goal against Carroll to extend her goal streak to three consecutive games. By tallying her fifth goal of the season, Wegner joined Lily Schlake (7 goals) as Yotes above five for the year, marking the first time since 2018 that C of I has had multiple players tally more than five in the campaign.

WINNING AT HOME: The Yotes have posted their fourth straight winning season at home. During that time period, C of I has gone 20-4-4.

NEARING A SCHOOL RECORD: With 11 wins on the season so far, C of I is just three victories away from tying the 2009 and 2015 teams (14 wins) for the most in a single-season in program history.

NUMEROUS YOTES NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE: 16 C of I women's soccer student-athletes were named to the U.S. Bank Academic All-Conference Team earlier this week including Payton Anderson, Madison Glascock, Hannah McFadden, Lucy Moore, Kylin Olsen, Kassandra Phillips, Cheyanne Rede, Delaney Reed, Alexa Rierson, Lily Schlake, Maddie Smith, Adi Spillett, Laura Staropoli, Chloe Teets, Shae Waters and Megan Wilkinson.
