ROCKLIN, Calif. – Squaring off against three NAIA Top-25 programs, the College of Idaho had six runners in the Top-20, as the Coyotes placed a tight second at the Warrior Invitational at the William Jessup Cross Country Course.
Southern Oregon took the team title with 46 points, just ahead of the Coyotes (55) and Oregon Tech (57), with Westmont (80) a distant fourth.
Logan Hunt paced C of I with a fourth-place finish, recording a personal-best 8,000-meter time of 24:27 – 20 seconds behind individual champ, Mark French of OIT.
Brennen Donahue had a quality race for the Yotes, taking ninth (25:03), with
Braden Heath (13th – 25:12),
Ian Jackson (14th – 25:13) and
Brevin Vaughan (15th – 25:17) rounding out the C of I scoring runners.
C of I races next at the Cascade Conference Championships, a week from Friday, in Klamath Falls, Ore.
