SEATTLE, Wash. – One night after shooting 26 percent from the field, Seattle Pacific found the shooting touch on Saturday to win 71-47 over The College of Idaho.
The Falcons (4-3) jumped out to a 19-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, shooting 26-of-60 (43 percent) from the floor and 6-of-13 (46 percent) on 3-pointers.
SPU also posted an impressive effort on the glass, grabbing 17 offensive rebounds and 43 total for the contest.
Senior guard
Kate Renfro had her best game as a Yote, scoring a career-high 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, including a perfect 4-of-4 mark from the perimeter.
Renfro wasted little time making an impact after checking in, hitting a pair of triples in her first 80 seconds in the game to help cut what was a 19-point lead down to 24-15 with 5:01 left in the first half.
After the C of I run, SPU would respond over the second half of the quarter, eventually taking a 35-21 lead into the locker room.
The offensive glass was a major key for the Falcons in the win - especially in the first half - where SPU hauled down 12 offensive boards and turned them into 10 second-chance points.
Senior forward
Kiersten Rasmussen had another quality offensive output for the Yotes (4-9), finishing with 10 points, four rebounds, two assists and a block.
Junior forward
Sienna Riggle made an impact off the bench, tallying six points and adding two rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
C of I shot 18-of-51 (35 percent) for the game and went 6-of-16 (38 percent) on 3-pointers.
The Yotes are next scheduled to return to action next Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the road at rival Northwest Nazarene.
