C of I finished 17-of-60 (28 percent) from the field and 3-of-18 (17 percent) from outside.
"Boise State is a great team," said College of Idaho head coach
Janis Beal. "They lost a lot of kids, but they are still a great program. We felt grateful that we had the opportunity to step on the floor and play somebody else. We have been practicing against ourselves for so long that I think this is a good thing for us just to play someone. I saw some effort with girls that I was impressed with - we had moments - we just have to clean it up a little bit, but overall I think our girls were just excited to get on the court."
Following the season opener, the Yotes will now continue their road trip with a pair of contests at Montana Western on Saturday and Sunday. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
