LA GRANDE, Ore. - College of Idaho's
Trystin Crofts was honored as Red Lion-Cascade Conference Softball Player of the Week, announced today by the league information office.
The junior, from Tooele, Utah, helped the Yotes to a 4-1 weekend - sweeping a doubleheader from Willamette and taking 2-of-3 games from Menlo College.
Crofts went 8-for-17 with a home run, two doubles, four runs scores and four stolen bases - driving in seven runs. She clubbed a two-run homer to break a 6-6 tie, helping the Yotes win Game 2 of their doubleheader vs. Willamette, while adding a pair of two-hit games vs. Menlo.
For the season, Crofts is hitting .568 with four homers and 16 RBI - leading the CCC in home runs and ranking second in batting average.
The Yotes return to action this weekend, hosting Providence in a four-game series.
