CALDWELL, Idaho – Today's baseball series finale between the College of Idaho and Whitworth University has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions.
An overnight storm dumped nearly two inches of snow on the Wolfe Field surface – the second-straight day snow has hampered the series. Yesterday, the teams endured a four-hour delay after an inch of snow covered the field.
Whitworth claims the series two games to one – winning Game 1 (11-0) and Game 3 (7-1), with the Yotes taking Game 2 (7-6).
C of I returns to action on Thursday, hosting Saint Martin's at 2 p.m. – the first game of a five-game weekend series.
