Coyotes Sweep Oregon Tech in Three Sets

CALDWELL, Idaho – Ashley Pagan recorded her third-straight double-double, leading the College of Idaho to a key 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 victory over Oregon Tech inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
 
The win for the Yotes (15-9, 10-7 CCC) ended a two-match losing streak overall and extended C of I's win streak over OIT to 24-in-a-row.
 
Pagan had 13 kills and 13 digs on the night, as C of I piled up 53 kills and seven blocks in the victory.
 
C of I never trailed in Set 1, as Danielle Neuman combined on a pair of blocks in a 7-2 run to open the game, adding two Jordyn Boswell kills midway through the set to extend the margin to 18-9.
 
The Owls (13-13, 6-10) erased a Coyote lead in Set 2, as three consecutive Nicole Reyes kills keyed a 5-0 surge that gave the visitors a 12-10 lead. Pagan answered with back-to-back spikes to answer the run, adding two late kills to close out the set win.
 
Neuman was the key in Set 3, ripping off three-straight kills in an 8-2 run that gave C of I a 15-8 lead that they would not surrender.
 
Boswell had 11 kills and three blocks in the victory, with Neuman recording a season-high eight kills and five blocks. Both Jade Warren and Austyn Mauzy had seven kills, Abigail Guinn and Margie Beeler combined for 44 assists and eight digs, with Drew Dobney leading all players with 18 digs.
 
Faith Houck-Wylie led Tech with nine kills, with Camryn Johnson adding eight kills. Amanda Powley logged 16 assists in the loss, with Aubrey Kievit topping the OIT digs chart with 14.
 
C of I closes out their home regular-season schedule tomorrow at 5 p.m. – hosting No. 9 Southern Oregon. The Yotes will honor their three senior student-athletes prior to the contest.
