Evergreen Stuns Coyotes in Four Sets

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Jordyn Boswell had 12 kills and Ashley Pagan recorded a double-double, but it wasn't enough for the College of Idaho, as Evergreen State rallied for a 4-set win over the Yotes inside Costantino Recreation Center.

The Geoducks (11-14, 9-7 CCC) ended a 33-match losing streak to C of I - picking up their first win against the Yotes since 2003.

Boswell had three kills in a 5-0 run in Set 1, as the Yotes (14-8, 9-6) erased a 16-12 TESC lead. Trailing 22-21, two kills from Kaydre Thompson keyed a four point push to give the visitors the set win.

From there, it was all Evergreen - as the hosts used a 6-0 run in Set 2 to build a 10-5 lead that they would not surrender. The Geoducks broke a 15-15 tie in Set 3 with a 5-1 run to take the set and never trailed in Set 4, closing the match on a 10-5 run.

Pagan had 11 kills and 15 digs for C of I, with Abigail Guinn recording 26 assists and eight digs. The Yotes finished 24 hitting errors and 13 service errors in the loss.

Chloee Hunt led all players with 13 kills, with Lily Stewart recording 12 for the Greeners. 

C of I closes out the road trip with a 5 p.m. (PT) match tomorrow vs. Northwest.
