2019 Baseball Game Notes (Week 2)

LIVE LINKS: All four games of the weekend series will feature Live Video ($7.95 per game, $39.99 for the entire season) and Live Stats through C of I's Stretch Internet Portal. Longtime Voice of the Yotes, Mike Safford, will handle the play-by-play, beginning 5-minutes prior to first pitch each game.

FIRST JANUARY GAME AT HOME: Thursday's opener vs. Providence Christian will mark the first-ever home January baseball game in C of I history – a day earlier than last season's home opener vs. Benedictine Mesa. On the flip side, the Yotes did not play a home February game from 1987-96 – with the 1989 team playing their home opener on April 3.
 
HOME OPENERS: Since baseball returned to the College in 1987, the Yotes are 28-4 all-time in home openers, including a 22-game win streak from 1987-2008.
