KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Both College of Idaho cross country teams were officially selected to compete in the NAIA National Championships, set for next Friday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
It marks the 11th-straight year that both teams will compete at the National Championships
The Coyote men, champions of the Cascade Conference, earned one of 22 automatic bids to the meet. C of I climbed to No. 3 in the final Top-25 poll – their highest ranking in program history – receiving a pair of first-place votes. The Yotes were joined by four other CCC teams – Southern Oregon, Eastern Oregon, Northwest Christian and Oregon Tech.
The Lady Yotes were the fourth of 11 at-large teams selected based on the final Top-25 poll. C of I, which placed third in Saturday's CCC Championships, was ranked No. 13 in the latest tabulation. Along with the Yotes, CCC champion, Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon and Northwest Christian, will represent the CCC.
