CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – All-America performances by
Alex Martin and
Cole Campbell helped the College of Idaho place seventh overall at the 2018 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships at Seminole Valley Regional Park.

Martin clocked a personal-best time of 24:35 over the 8,000-meter course – placing fifth overall – the best finish by a Coyote at Nationals since
Greg Montgomery took second in 2012. It was the second-straight year the junior earned All-America honors.
Campbell, a sophomore, recorded a personal-best time of 25:04 – taking 28th overall – earning his first-ever All-America honor.
As a team, the Coyotes finished with 257 place-points – with four of their five scorers in the Top-100. Top-ranked Oklahoma City claimed the team title (116), with Indiana Wesleyan a close (143), followed by St. Francis of Illinois (162) and Southern Oregon (181).
Marcos Cervantes placed 63rd overall (25:29),
Bryce Odegard took 96th (25:40) and
Josh Frey placed 134th (25:55) to round out the Coyote scorers.
