DILLON, Mont. – Three Montana Western players scored in double-figures and the No. 7 ranked Bulldogs hit 12 3-point baskets in an 80-55 victory over the College of Idaho at Straugh Gymnasium.
The Lady Yotes (0-2) got a game-high 17 points from
Madison Holly, but made just 34-percent of their field goals and committed 21 turnovers against the defending NAIA Division I national semifinalists.
C of I hung around early, as an
Alyssa Case runner with just over three minutes left in the first quarter cut the Dawgs (3-0) lead to 8-5 – only to see the home team score nine in a row, capped by a long Brianna King triple, to push the lead to double-figures.

Mackenzie Collins jumper cut the gap to 23-15 with eight minutes left in the half – but Western ran off a 14-0 run, including two Savanna Bignell 3's, grabbing a 44-24 halftime lead – a margin that would not drop below 20 points the rest of the night.
Kaylee Krusemark had eight points,
Emily Harwood scored seven, with Case scoring five points with a team-high six rebounds for the Yotes.
Bignell led Western with 19 points, with Britt Cooper recording a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Ciera Lamey scoring 13.
The Lady Yotes return to action next weekend with three games in California – beginning Thursday at La Sierra.
