PORTLAND, Ore. –
Jocelyn Cook-Cox headed home a corner kick late in the first half and the College of Idaho defense did the rest, as the Lady Yotes earned a key 1-0 road victory at Warner Pacific.
The win for the Lady Yotes (9-3-2, 6-3-1 CCC) clinched C of I their fifth-straight playoff appearance – extending their unbeaten streak in the month of October to six.
In the 35th minute,
Emma Powley played a corner to the top of the 6-yard-box, where Cook-Cox slotted home the sitter to the bottom right corner of the net.
The C of I defense did the rest against, as
Shae Waters made five saves to complete her second-straight clean sheet.
The Lady Yotes return home next weekend to close out the regular-season, hosting Northwest on Friday and Evergreen on Sunday.
